A send-off worth the years

For the diploma — high school or college

Years of homework, practices, and late nights come down to one big day, and the party afterward should match the moment. The Big Room at River Arts Venue gives Rome families a downtown space to do it right — whether you're honoring a graduate from one of the local high schools or a Berry, Shorter, Georgia Highlands, or GNTC alum walking the stage. With room for up to 200, there's space for every relative, teammate, and friend who wants to say congratulations.

Set up a memory display of cap-and-gown photos and the years that led here, lay out the food in school colors, and let the celebration run. The full kitchen makes feeding a crowd easy, and several families often go in together for a joint party. One thing to plan around: grad season in May and December books fast, so the sooner you reserve, the better your pick of dates — you can book up to a year out.

Graduation party FAQs

How big a graduation party can the venue hold?

The Big Room holds up to 200 guests, which is room enough for family, friends, classmates, and the neighbors who watched the grad grow up. For a smaller gathering, the Loft seats up to 30, and the whole building can take up to 300 on weekends.

Is the venue available during graduation season?

It can be, but May and December grad seasons book up quickly. With high schools and colleges all graduating around the same dates, the best weekends go first, so reserve as early as you can — you can book up to a year ahead.

Can we bring our own food and caterer?

Yes. Bring your own caterer, barbecue, or a homemade spread, along with the cake and drinks. Your booked time is yours to set up the food and the party the way you want.

Is there a kitchen for the food?

Yes. The Big Room includes a full kitchen, so it's easy to prep, plate, keep dishes warm or cold, and serve a crowd without running back and forth.

Can multiple families share one graduation party?

Definitely. With room for up to 200, several families can go in together for a joint grad party and split the date — a popular way to celebrate two or three graduates at once.

Can we set up a photo or memory display and decorate?

Of course. There's space to set up a memory table, photo boards, and a display of the grad's years, and you're welcome to decorate the room in their school colors during your booked time.
