Your day, your way

One beautiful space that flexes from an intimate ceremony to a 300-guest reception

Most wedding venues around Rome ask you to choose: a farm thirty minutes out, or a hall that books like a conference. River Arts Venue is the third option — a beautiful, character-filled space in the heart of the River District that flexes to fit your day. Hosting an intimate ceremony? The light-filled Loft or the Meeting Room suits a few dozen of your closest people. Growing bigger? The Big Room's open floor holds up to 200 — set rows of chairs for the ceremony, flip to round tables for dinner, then clear the floor for dancing, with the upstairs Loft included and a full kitchen below.

Going all out? On weekends you can take the whole building — every space, up to 300 guests — and make it a wedding weekend: rehearsal dinner in the Loft or Meeting Room the night before, the main event on the big floor the next day. Anything from a small ceremony to a 300-person reception, and everything in between — one address, one flexible space. You bring the caterer, DJ, florist, and vision; we give you the room, the kitchen, and a date that's genuinely yours — reserve up to a year out, and a deposit locks it in.

Wedding & reception FAQs

How many wedding guests can the venue hold?

The Big Room holds up to 200 guests, with the upstairs Loft included and a full kitchen. On weekends you can take the whole building — every space, up to 300 guests.

Can you host a small or intimate wedding?

Absolutely. The Loft (up to 30) and the Meeting Room (up to 50) are right-sized for an intimate ceremony and dinner, and you only pay for the space you need — then scale up to the Big Room (200) or the whole building (300) when the guest list grows. One venue handles the whole range.

Can we have the ceremony and the reception in one place?

Yes. The Big Room is one open floor — set the chairs for your ceremony, then flip the room for dinner and dancing. Your booked time is yours to arrange the space the way your day needs it.

Can we bring our own caterer, DJ, and decorations?

Yes. Bring the caterer, DJ or band, florist, and décor you want. The full kitchen handles prep, plating, and the cake, and your booked time is yours to decorate.

Do you host rehearsal dinners too?

Yes. The Loft seats up to 30 and the Meeting Room seats 50 — either makes an easy rehearsal dinner the night before, in the same building as your reception.

How far ahead should we book, and can we hold our date?

You can reserve up to a year ahead, and a deposit secures your date — the balance is billed closer to the event. Popular weekend dates go first, so request yours early.

Where is the venue, and what's nearby for guests?

252 N 5th Ave in downtown Rome's River District, with parking nearby. Broad Street's restaurants and downtown hotels are a short walk, which makes the weekend easy for out-of-town guests.

What does it cost?

The Big Room runs from $200 an hour with block rates Monday through Thursday, and weekend whole-building buyouts are available. Check live availability and request your date online.

Is River Arts an affordable wedding venue?

Yes — by the numbers. The national average venue fee is about $8,500 and Georgia venue rentals typically run $2,500 to $8,000, while our whole-building weekend buyout is $2,500 a day and the Big Room starts at $200 an hour. You keep more of the budget for the caterer, the photographer, and the honeymoon.
